Me voted Aquathon and Dinner Party. biggrin

Aquathon, cos it's always been part of a plan, for almost 3 years now, but was never put in action.

Dinner party cos me likey dinner party. aww

I thought the Aquathon will be on in the next semester, don't know la how the plan is but that's what Kar Keong suggested. Now doing it for Anniversary... So need to postpone the plan or replace this Aquathon with another event for the anniversary celebration?

i support dinner party~~because i like party^^

2nd choice, aquathon~because never try this before, at least can try before i graduate, hehe

thirdly, i suggest to do Telematch or Telegame, kinda station games playing with water (not in the water,eg: pool side), something like games during the interaction day~fun, interesting and more attractive....lol =)
(and sometimes,that is even profitable if we aim to make profit for the board^^ )

On the other hand, things like Demo Day, seminal and talks.....kinda boring bleh

i believe that to promote life saving, we are able to make it in an attractive way, and in long run, eg: promote Bronze Med.

As for Swimming Competition, Water Polo Competition, Charity Swim...............no comment...it depends on the response from either public or insider of LG corps.

Anniversary Sales?better don't.......because selling off duty T is enough dy, buying something and resales is very costly, not only money, but time and effort....unless there is good market response, and this makes different story aww

please don't boo on me, if i'm not mistaken...about the 30th anniversary has not been announced in GM yet...lol

i knew it only in forum, and only by now..lol,
i guess LG who is not actively join our forum (this is not their false, they might face difficulties while sign in or connection problem or no internet available or any reasonable reason^^), previously i was one of them, might want to know about it and who knows they might come out with something new and fun about our activity for 30th anniversary? aww

I'm amazed. No wonder it has been raining for 2 days non-stop.
Anyway, back to the topic. I'm all for the dinner party plan. But this time it has to be on a much grander scale. Formal and no nonsense like senior games, etc.

The others are interesting but it may be slightly more difficult to get response from the public.

haha... anyway, late is not a pro, as at the end u r here wif us. tat is important. :)

Dinner is a good idea, after all, it is the easiest event also. erm... we will have two dinner if dinner is on, one is Anniversary in 1st sem and Aquatic Night in 2nd sem.

How "formal" are you thinking? Please elaborate more ler...then we can have clearer idea of the dinner...

Formal as in formal lo.....something macam school dinner...but much larger scale...if possible la...but all these depends on which big shot coming ...special type of opening ceremony.....example is pouring wine onto stacked glasses (macam in wedding 1)....but i think thats too common..something different....and need to chose good place lo....try poolside party....open air with stage...then constant performance...and grand lucky draw....somethng like dat....

JY...i thnk u all hav a list of contacts of really lou lou peng LGs rite....the one we met in LSSM meeting....and..if can call some1 from ministry? then confirm VC(s) will come 1..haha...just my 1 cents..hehe

ooo... well.. for ur information.. there is a Hon Executive President, Dato Teo who once to be USM student n i forgot whether he once a LG or not. but he showed the interest to attend our 30th Celebration la. we can invide him. think he mentioned that he noe the 1st LG corps captain. now the captain is in Hong Kong or somewhere..

Hmm poolside party... Will KK throw people into the water? If so then we cannot do it....haha biggrin biggrin

But it is an interesting idea. But our USM pool is not so suitable I think, so dangerous and small (slippery!).

Or can we do it in the Dewan Budaya dining hall? Looks suitable!

pool-side party is a wet party? is only suitable for young teenagers. if we got invite some YB a, Dato a, Tun a, Tan Sri or wat, then pool-side party will not be so suitable le.

ps: they cant be wet, right??

Like Kenneth and the others said, it has to be formal to the point where it should be held in the ballroom of a hotel or restaurant. Guest have to dress up etc.

haha....aiyo....wat i meant by pool-side party is that.....its really formal lo....like wat evan said lo...no playing water one...just for an outdoor type of function and i would suggest in hotel area....no playing water one...haha...aiyoo...

pool-side function...to get an outdoor feeling.....but need to find suitable hotel that got this type of pool la.....if not...guess need to do in ballroom lo...and a large one....make it grand ma....hehe

If really wanna do a party I think can start o find sponsirship already. Now it is gonna be end of semester again. Must be fast. This is 30th anniversary no the same like b4.

We can open to public. Ask all the Mass media to come. The star, berita harian, metro, etc. This is the time to promote LG already. Ask En. Muhamed to arrange that if not just ask any friends who are working in the press company to help us. It's not easy to gather all the USM Lg ...

For the auction, it depends on what items of value that you all might be able to obtain from sponsors.
For example: Holiday packages from certain hotels, paintings donated by some famous artist perhaps, etc.

You get the idea la.
