Anyone here watching Malaysian Dreamgirl? It's a show derived from succesful model reality search such as America's Next Top Model.
12 girls are selected from auditions and are then dumped in a house somewhere in KL I presume where they will complete challenges and have photoshoots every week, and each week, one girl will be eliminated until there is one and only Dreamgirl.
But here's the catch... The viewers get to vote on who will eventually become the Dreamgirl. So basically, although there are 3 judges and a host, it makes no difference what they say. The most popular contestant will win, whether she deserves it or not.
Cindy - presumed to be one of the b***** in the house. Looks relatively average, her catwalk looks like you just hit the fast forward button. Drama is always around her and lotsa people attacked her for 'faking an accent'.
Ringo - There has been a lot of comments from viewers who feel that Ringo, who is also a close friend of one of the judges Kenny Sia is getting a preferential treatment. His comments on her photos are mostly complimentary or 'safe' (ie. Her photos are average, OK, etc), even though she least deserves them. No doubt that she is the shortest among the others.
Hanis - she's one of the viewers' favourites, her photos does not look very good, but I think she has that charm to be likeable and also manja, braces and all :) She has a cool walk, and I think she looks good only when her hair is all combed and tied back.
Jay - She's my favourite so far, humble and takes great photos. Her long legs are the envy of every girl. Lots of viewers felt that she has the 'horsey' look, but IMO, I think that sets her apart from the other models, making her memorable.
Nadia - Initially, I felt that she looks really hot, and exudes that sex appeal. But after watching her for a few episodes, I find that her lower chin seems to be prominent and looks weird from the side view. She's a hardworking girl but she tries too hard.
Adeline - She has this kind of permanent blur/dumb/confused look on her face like, all the time! But she looks very very adorable when she smiles. But the way she talks... kinda jinjang la lolz.
What do you think?
p/s Pls refrain from saying things like I am not pretty also, shouldn't comment on how they look . It's a show that the whole nation gets to watch, by putting themselves in the show, they are already allowing themselves to be scrutinised and criticized.

I do not follow Dreamgirls, but I'm a big supporter of ANTM. Here in Malaysia, I'm very sure they have many restrictions placed onto the models, such as they cannot pose in the nude, provocative positions, with partners (same or opposite sex) etc. It just wouldn't be as edgy as watching ANTM. As for the cat fights, girls everywhere are the same.
Why watch the watered down, version when you can watch the original!
I've watched most of all the ANTM cycles and yes, the girls in ANTM are attention-starved, if I might say so lol and the challenges are much more exciting. But of course, their production has no problems in getting sponsors and financial assistance.
Well, it's now the hottest series in Malaysia at the moment and it's very new. As much as I feel that the series have a long way to go, but it has a local twist, that is closer to home. It's actually considered not bad for a local production; drama, catfights, lingerie shoot (pang pua liap).

seen a few episodes with the brick... to me the dream girls are more like "dreaming girls" than "girls in our dreams"...
Agreed with MP here. They were like living in their own fantasay world and heck, I can find 10 married Dell employee who looks better, talks better and is more charismatic.
But heck, they went for the audition. Then again, don't think Malaysia's best went for the audition. And with Kenny Sia as 1 of the judge, makes matters worst. Although he is quite eligible for a bachelor, but don't think he can pass as a judge.
And most importantly, the girls very fake lar.... :)
