There is an upcoming event at Pulau Kapas(If i'm not wrong).
It's an event that requires the swimmers to swim for at least 6km to reach another Island. Look like a lot of our LG members seem to be interested. So, i just post it here to notify anyone that dunno about that.

It could be fun but make sure u're ready for it. I mean everything. Dun worry about the Sharks and Jellyfish, They are there waiting for u and maybe swim with u... So have fun...

huh??? swim 6K ?? so it is a charity swim or competition?? allowed to gear up diving equip to swim or not... hahaha...

It's a competition... 10 places for win and can get cash...
Wei... Swimming lar...
Time limit is 5 hrs...
Should be able to do lar... But mental.... Hehe... Dunno...

even if u physically cannot, but if ur mental strong enough, u will complete de event. mayb exceed the time limit. but u complete at the end... long distance always depend on mental de.

can anybody give me details of the event like the transport, how we get there? how much everything plus transport??

must start train long distance swim le.. 6K.. 1st thing to train is to make sure wont die of dehydration in the sea water... hahaha..

6.5KM Open water swim from Pulau Kapas to Pantai Peranginan Kelulut, Marang, Terengganu.

12 April 2008 (Sat)
0900 - 1200 Registration of Participants (Marang Jetty)
1100 - 1400 Transfer to Kapas Island
1600 - 1700 Race Briefing
2000 - 2200 Dinner

13 April 2008 (Sun)
0630 - 0700 Breakfast

General Information
Entries age submission should be based on 1st Jan 2008. Eg. Born on 23rd July 1991 is age 17.
Participants who lived in Terengganu for more than 10 years are qualified to enter the Close category.

hey, can somebody upload the training scheme here as i at KL for a while.. .. walao ming chee done 6 km ah?? **** la, i dun even achieve 5 km i think i might last min withdraw.. hahahaha...
