What to wear or what not to wear??

Dear all,

It' aproaching that time of year again....the annual soiree all members of the LG corps look foward to. The one time in the year that we will not have to be looking at each other in barely there swimming trunks or swimming costumes. Yes, you know what I'm talking about; Aquatic Night.

The one night that the men will look dashing and dapper, while the ladies will get their hair coiffed up and dress to the nines. However, same with any red carpet event anywhere, there will always be fashion hits and misses. (Thinks the Oscars and Grammys).

Thus, I started this topic so that we may all share our few cents worth on what is acceptable to be worn on the coming night for both men and women. Feel free to give fashion tips and even discuss about the theme "Jazz up the night". Can't wait to hear from you all.....

actually a, i m wonder wat kind of dresses will meet the requirement of the theme for this year.. "Jazz Up the Night"... so it will be Jazz thing.. so how do actually to wear out the feeling of JAzzzzZ???

Technically, Jazz is more of a musical style not in dress kind of sense. However, if we're talking about classic Jazz, it would be a very formal kind of style with men wearing tuxedos or modern jackets (the ones with the swallow tails) with top hats and all. Ladies would be in classic long sweeping gowns.

In the modern times however, jazz musicians don't really bother to dress up. Since jazz music is about the freedom of expression and interpretation, anything goes as the music takes centre stage.

So guys...what will it be? Classic glamour....or......Chinchai?

haha... 1st impression is important... but internal beauty is as important too... although we cant see one's "internal" at the beginning la..

i do wan to dress up.. but poor sense of fashion makes me do not dare to go for it ma... not lazy lo...

Technically, no one can judge you for the combination that you want to wear since as we said, modern day jazz musicians are very chin chai. Then again, this is your chance to dress up in something fancier if you wish. Go search the internet to get ideas and fashion tips..best of luck.

If u have money like about 1k, u shouldn't worry about so much... U can always come to BIO sch and go find our Super Star Evansat as ur advisor...
Then u sure to be crowned as KKKIIINNGGGG!!!

Tux not cheap lor.... Blazer oso need about RM300++ ler... That also normal one... Hoho...

hi evry1! so frm what i understand.... it will be just fine to wear t-shirt + jeans if the title of prom KINgzzz or Quenzz.. is not one's aim during the night hehe.. sound just fine for me.. =)
btw, any photo of previous aquatic night up for reff? looking forward to c how X prom king n queen dressed up previously hehe..! =p

First and foremost, welcome to the forum. Once again, it's up to you what you want to wear. But if possible.."give some face" to the organisers. Is it that hard to put on a clean, decent shirt and slacks???
Is that too much to ask for?

Lol, hi all to the newbies around here...

Agua nite is only once a year, if you arrive dressed the way you dress when you go lectures, it will be so darn boring! Might as well get a theme called "Lecture Hour"?

Be sporting, and daring, it's the only once chance whole year (for the LGs anyway) to get creative and have fun!

No lar.....cannot formal wan.......formal = dark slacks, light long sleeve shirts and a tie or sumthing. and that will make a nite look like salesman forum....LOL

JY: pouch = is a piece of kickass underwear. It has a piece of fabric infront to hold your balls and gun in place and nothing behind for easy access to the @55H0L3. :)

Tuxedos can be rented from most bridal houses.
However be warned that they are expensive. Ranging from RM300-RM500.

wat the ONLY event to woo waa together wo.. there are so many events that we can enjoy together. Aqua Night is only the night where we will be wearing "formal".

as addition, Aqua Night is also a night for the LGs who are going to grad. jus like every sch de Night, the main idea is for the graduating ppl ma. n of cos everyone will join in for fun la. i didnt mean only graduating ppl can enjoy or wat..

I kind of agree with Loy Chee, from the comments I'm seeing, it seems the juniors haven't really gotten into the spirit of Aquatic Nite yet. That was the whole point of all our recent post to start getting them in the mood.

As with what JY said, yes I agree that there are many other activities, but Aquatic Nite is like the Climax to the whole year's activites.

As for CT, not only ex-captains okay. All graduating members are involved.
