2008/09 Convocation Sales Post Mortem
Permalink Closed

Dear all,
Thanks for supporting and helping in the convocation sales for this year, especially treasury department members, you all did a great job, thank you.

So we will be having a post mortem to discuss all the problems encounter and suggestions to improve this whole new project, the date most probably will be at 10th of September, Wednesday 10.15pm @ cubicle due to the tests and nightmares. I hope every one can give some logical suggestions and solutions for future references. If anyone is unable to attend the post mortem, you are always welcomed to give your comments to me in any method, email, sms, phone calls(if you want), letters, or in this forum. I will gather all your comments and list out during the post mortem. However, I hope all treasury department members can attend this post mortem.

Here is some of the FAQ I would like to answer here, and therefore please read before you post or ask anything. I will delete those unnecessary posts to keep this topic clean.

1. The order form thing is very messy. Some of us do not get the forms and it is very complicated and tiring to fill in the details.
First of all, I apologize for the messy order forms. Some of you do not get the order forms because you are not around in Penang during the period, or you did not attend the CPR in-house training, and I should have divide the forms evenly rather than letting you all distribute.
Therefore, no matter what activities they are, anything that is needed to distribute to every one should be divided properly to avoid such messiness to happen again. Of course, I hope every one is initiative to help, I appreciate your effort.

2. We do not have enough time to promote our tarts.
For your information, we reach our target actually, I just purposely raise the target so that every one has some pressure, I am sorry about that. The insufficient time is due to the changing plans of the sales as we do not have the confidence and capital to open a store during convocation.
Moreover, we do not encourage last-minute orders because we cannot complete our calculations and preparations and send our orders to the baker. We want to avoid any mistake done to the orders but we did one in the end. Thanks to Wei Yip for the solutions and Min Fey for forgiveness.
I want to thank all the treasury department members for working so hard and finishing the preparations in time. Thanks to you all, we are able to make it.

3. The tarts seem smaller than we expected. In other words, the price is expensive and the customers feel that it is not worth.
Consider the market price in convocation, I think the pricing is slightly higher, but still worth it. The tarts look smaller than the sample that we receive, and it is not really well-made as the sample.

4. Why can't we provide more flexibility to the customers? I feel sorry for not solving my customers' problem.
I apologize for that. It is too flexible and we are unable to solve every customer's problem. It is my inability and inexperience.

Lastly I want to apologize for my impatience and temper during this period.

Admittedly, the tarts are quite small (1 mouth gau tim), but they are really nice in my opininion!

Anyway, Loy Chee, don't be so hard on yourself. Expect lots of mistakes done whenever you try something new... Learn from the mistakes.

Good job!
