Agree to Miss Sotong.. Duty so sienz... I think it's ok we make noise or chat, but the most important thing is still eyes on pool, don't chat untill too over. People can lost their life in a few minutes only, we shall take duty seriously.

i personally nv been scold by outsider. but basically , got outsider point out, that, LG in duty not professionals and just play around.

Ya, some lifeguards do not take duty seriously, I know it is bored, play can play, but we still have to have some extent of alert n responsible...

EYES ON POOL especially deep end n the slope...

Some other lifeguards walk around n sit at the edge talking to the swimmer n eyes on SWIMMER, I personally dun like this kind of attitude la, if chat for few mins or sec we still can open one eye n close one eye, but when too much, talk till like more than 5mins or more...
it really dissapointed le....

I dint point anyone, juz remind la...

Lifeguards should be strict on the rules, but flexible when neccessary, is hard to explain when n how to, so you have to understand the reason behind the rules, if the rules is for some old fashion or expired reason, maybe that can be flexible...but pls consult Exco on duty or Pak Cik before do it...

but i thk noisy is normal la... But I thk USM Student LGs are more pro than outside pool punya LGs la...haha, the pool users dint try outside LGs before lo...

sometimes its hard for exco need to tell LG over n over again abt the ON DUTY matter.. i personally dun like to nag a lot, as we all ad adult, we have our own thinkin. we should be able to take our responsible.

duty is boring indeed.. but when u trying to bring some fun to urself, at the same time pls dun forget ur responsible also la..

make noise is fine, prove tat we LG corps r very energetic wat!! we got the fun n we really enjoy it.. ^^

I'm understand what r u trying to sent thru the public la. As u all know, USM pool is one of the thousands pools in Malaysia that has LG on duty. They're should glad on this. N we never get a single cent of paid as outside pool does. I'm quite agree to Adr as u see others pool LG such as PISA or Associates of USM (non-LG members), they can even read newspaper, smoking outside etc. Make no sense at all as LG (not healthy at all also).

We're prof enough as we just need some accompany and cheer among ourselve around. Of course, I can't stop other from talking behind our attitude la or even complaining at us. But if they really think deeper. Call them to duty alone for 1.30 hour (at least), I'm sure they will understand us too.

I knwo, again, this is a prof job and everyone lifes is in our hand. I just wanna inform and remind everyone of the LG. Pool duty is a serious matter, u can laugh, chat or even play. But just must remember to take care of the lifes of the pool users. We're hired on that purpose. Remember, there is no single serious case (i mean death) in USM pool. Keep this record forever as a USM fellow LG. At last, Don't forget about 3A when u chat, laugh, joke or even 'play' during ur pool duty.

For those who're swimming, try to be more careful as we're fast swimmer and can beat anyone or kick anyone in no time and they can drown if they are not a good swimmer. Take care of the pool users again... hehe...

To all lifeguards,

It's okay to joke and talk by the pool when you are on duty, but just don't go overboard. Like I've said before, we have to maintain our reputation.
The public have expectations and are looking up to us. Try to be dignified.
Always remember; First impressions are the most important.

Put your best foot foward.

Actually what I wanted to say is...
Have we ever disturbed swimmers while we play crazily in the pool? Not those LG in duty....
Anyway, USM LGs are far more professional than other LGs in other places...
I, as a LG and a junior exco, am proud of it..

ps: i online sambil study de ma. exam stress leh. need to release a bit over forum here.. pool will go one, after exam then will go d... :D

haha...I think is OK, becos swimming pool is a public n outdoor place, it is not a library...

Maybe some swimmers like to swim in a quiet aura, hehe, itis abit hard lo... USM swimming is, beside from a safest pool, also a most laughsound n energetic pool, seldom pool can be like this, this is also a unique for us.

Juz try to behave if some swimmer feel uncomfortable, juz thk if u come here for 1st time, u oso will scare n afraid the LG gang one...
